Over 1 in 5 of those women had the problem every single month, reporting being forced to use cloth, rags, toilet paper, and sometimes even diapers taken from public bathrooms.
Many even said that they were forced to choose between having hygiene products and having food.

Despite requests from the community, many local homeless shelters, food banks and family centers are often unable to purchase feminine hygiene products due to strict budgeting. As a result, the monthly struggle of these women continues for a lifetime.
